huge update. are you ready for this?

well, well, well. can you even believe i let so much time go by without updating you guys on the hard work i have been doing on my goals.

so here goes

# six: after doing a massive cleaning in my apartment, i filled two more huge construction sized bags of clothing, etc. to donate. i gave them to a friend whose agency is going to have a huge yard sale for charity. four down and six more to go!

#eighteen: eat at twenty new to me restuarants. wow, i am really doing fantastic on this goal. i am now 12 out of my goal of 20 restaurants. i will consider this goal completed at 20, but i'd like to see how many i can actually get to by the end of my 1001 days. can i double it? triple it?
here is where i have eaten:
11th street dinner in south beach, miami. this place is absolute HEAVEN! if you go to miami then i recommend this place as a must see! everything tasted perfect and they had such a wide variety of food- and healthy food too. i actually went there twice in my 1.5 days of being there. got a turkey burger, fries and fruit on my first day and french toast, eggs and fruit on the second meal. yummy in my tummy.

the second place we went to eat in miami was this amazing little italian restaurant in south beach. i think it was on 14th street off of washington ave we didn't read the menu before we sat down, so we were a little surprised by the price- but in reality it wasn't too expensive. after we got the food we realized it was completely worth it. WOW. the food was PERFECT i was amazed with everything. and everyone who works there are hardcore italian. the men are fricken gorgeous and i was in love with every single one of them
anyway, we also went to jimmy buffet's margaritaville in mexico and that was an outrageous time! they had a fresh guacamole "hut" that would come around to your table if you wanted any. WOWEE! best guac. i have ever eaten in my entire life. it was perfect.

the next place was a restaurant/bar on the waterfront in bristol, RI where i got the best rhode island oysters i have had in a while. i also don't remember the name of this one, but i'm sure i can figure it out soon enough. there are just so many restaurants in that area, that i don't want to google it and tell you the wrong one!
and then yesterday i went to another RI restaurant. J.D.'s, a "hole in the wall", aka a family restaurant...amy, sa and i got breakfast there the morning after the new kids on the block concert. i really enjoyed it there as well. the french toast was the best.

#twenty eight: i did a pretty good job supporting local artists. in haiti, i got a bunch of local artwork. statues and masks for the most part. i don't have any pictures now, so i will try to take some. in jamaica i got some nice jamaican coffee. i also went to watch a friend's band : dancing nancys at a bar in bristol one night.

#twenty nine:
i guess for may i will chose 11th street diner as my independent business for the month of may because it was my favorite place. for the month of june, my independent business was that cute family restaurant J.D.'s.

#thirty four: i've got quite a few pictures to add to my urban alphabet. some on the cruise and some in the countries we visited. and i think there are a few since i have been home. i'm going to put these pics in a separate post because this one is already going to be too long!

#thirty five: i also have more pictures to add to my 100 pictures project. i'm just going to include them on a separate post too.

#thirty nine: i am adding to my cork collection that i will use to make my cork frame. two of the new corks i got on my cruise when amy and i dined and had our favorite waiters, ivan and parag. the other is from friday night at the NKOTB concert.

#forty three: take a picture at least once every two weeks. gosh i have teaken quite a few so far. which is surprising, usually i take one of myself, but it was nice to have a few taken by others.
this one below was taken on may 29 in miami. i am so in love with ami james. too bad i didn't meet him!
below is from may 30th. it was our first day on the boat. this is my sexy look! haha ya right.this one was taken on june 1st after visiting haiti.
this one was taken later that night.

this picture was taken in mexico on june 4th. we were re-re-routed there. originally we were supposed to go to mexico, but we were re-routed to the bahamas. then we didn't find out about it being changed back to being mexico until we were on the cruise. so i was so excited because i really wanted to swim with the dolphins there...and i got to!

this one was after the dolphin swimming same day.

this picture also taken on june 4th. i love it because the whole time i was being photographed by the people at the dolphin cove, my eyes were closed or i was making crazy faces because i was paying so much attention to the dolphins...so in the moment that i paid no mind to them!

hmm, i like the casino. this was on june 5th the night before the cruise ended.

this picture was taken by The Bestie as i slept on the plane ride home!

#forty seven: the time has come to kick ass on this time capsule project. i expect it to be complete by september 3rd, because that is when i will be going to virginia, and my birthday will be during that weekend! i obviously am just beginning so i don’t know what i will put in it. i’m going to obviously put in letters people write me, but i also need to find items which commemorate the last 25 years of my life! do any of y’all have any ideas? any suggestions as to when i should open it?

#forty nine: i completed another item! i am back from my cruise! here are just a few random pictures.

#fifty seven: here is a picture of my pretty new passport! goal complete!

#sixty three: this week will be my 25th weekly entry. i’m totally loving that i am sticking firmly to this writing weekly schedule. its become more of a habit now. and i did a pretty good job writing in my journal during my cruise. at least for the first few days! haha.

#sixty six: yesterday i completed my 101st grace in small things entry. i am so excited about this. i cannot believe i have done so many of these entries. i feel like this is such a big accomplishment. i wonder what one complete year will feel like.

#sixty nine: my plan on vacation was to write letters to some of my friends on my cruise. i failed that one miserably! ha. didn’t write any. but that is okay because i know i have one sobby letter to write to my lovely “wife” who is moving with her fiance Cornmuffin to the DC area. i have the feeling that this letter will get me started on writing a few more!

#seventy: i read another of my books which i purchased and never read (i think i have a total of 194 or something like that books to go) i read jodi picoult’s new book which SHE AUTOGRAPHED WHEN I MET HER!

#seventy four: so the goal is to attend 20 more red sox games (before the end of the 1001 days...trust me i would like to attend many more than 20 in my life) i’ve already done two this year (yes, i know i owe you pictures from the second game i went to) i’m going to go down to baltimore at the end of july to travel and visit My Wife and Cornmuffin and i am definitely going to watch the sox play baltimore when i am there. holla! so that will be my third game of the year. i’ve got tickets for three more games at the end of the season too!

#eighty three: i know i finished this one already, but i added some vitamins to my daily routine. i worked on this goal by taking vitamin D which i am still taking. now i am taking vitamins C and E as well.

#eighty eight: still working hard on this one. the cruise definitely set me back much more than i thought, but i am going to think positive. i was doing an excellent job at this and i will continue to do an excellent job. there is no way i am going to let a negative attitude weigh me down in debt.

#ninety: still downloading all budget stuff into my spreadsheet.
